Retrograde motion is often described as a “big problem” for the Geocentrospheric model, but this exposes a failure by those who believe this to comprehend two concepts frame of reference and relative motion.
The big problem is that, for the most part, people haven’t connected the concept of frame of reference with the concept of relative motion. In the case of Mars, for instance, if you were on the sun (heliocentric) you’d be observing retrograde motion. Since you’re not, you’re on the Earth (Geocentrospheric) you’re observing an epicycle.
If you watch the .gif above carefully you’ll notice that the relative position of the three dots remains the same at all times. However, the relative motion is different because they have a different frame of reference.
Some people will insist that retrograde motion disproves epicycles, but that’s a very clear indicator that they’ve passed the Cluelessness Event Horizon. Retrograde motion and epicycles are the same thing, but observed from different points of view.
The Cluelessness Event Horizon
The supposed intellectual high ground of atheism has no scientific basis. We’re witnessing a mass migration across the CEH.
Retrograde motion is observed at certain times of the year and for certain planets when they appear to reverse course for a while, then resume their original stellar journey.
As such, the heliocentric and Geocentrosperic interpretations of the observation are both taking place at the same time, one doesn’t preclude the other, it’s simply a matter of your frame of reference. There’s no way to prove whether one explanation is wrong, or the other right. Popular sience (SciPop) is a rationalization of the narrative of godless existence, and so it supports the heliocentric explanation. This isn’t the same as proving it.
The way in which we came to understand the nuance of retrograde motion and epicycles is one of the amazing miracles of our life.
