For this is as the waters of Noah unto me: for as I have sworn that the waters of Noah should no more go over the earth; so have I sworn that I would not be wroth with thee, nor rebuke thee. For the mountains shall depart, and the hills be removed; but my kindness shall not depart from thee, neither shall the covenant of my peace be removed, saith the LORD that hath mercy on thee.
(Isaiah 54:9-10) KNJ
The Lord God swore that the waters of Noah would no more go over the earth, and so God establishes the boundary of the oceans at the edge of the Millennial Kingdom. The people in that time are going to live to an old age in peace, and they are not going to have to worry about flooding.
Technically speaking, parts of the Millennial Kingdom will be below mean sea level, but this is not going to be a problem because God will honor his promise. However, the Lord also promised that the next baptism would be with fire. It is going to feel like a baptism of fire with the amount of burning material falling out of the sky during the tribulation. As Jesus said in Matthew:
I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire: Whose fan is in his hand, and he will throughly purge his floor, and gather his wheat into the garner; but he will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.
(Matthew 3:11-12) KJV
Dramatic transformations are going to take place the likes of which we have never seen on earth. This is an ominous statement. During the time of Peleg, which was a few generations after Noah’s flood, the people on earth at that time experienced the break up of the original continent, Pangaea. This was when the tectonic plates formed. Not only did the plates form, but they moved into their current positions during the event. The mountain range that we call the Himalayas for example, and the deep ocean trenches, formed when the pillars of the earth, which had been supporting the earth’s mantle, collapsed. The earth shrank in diameter by about 1,200 km. People experienced and survived it. Here it is again as stated by Haggai:
For thus saith the LORD of hosts; Yet once, it is a little while, and I will shake the heavens, and the earth, and the sea, and the dry land; And I will shake all nations, and the desire of all nations shall come: and I will fill this house with glory, saith the LORD of hosts.
(Haggai 2:6-7) KJV
If the next transformation is going to be more severe than anything seen to date, then it is going to be a day when people hide in the rocks and wish to die. Something happens which increases the earth’s radius to nearly 11,000 km.
