For a fire is kindled in mine anger, and shall burn unto the lowest hell, and shall consume the earth with her increase, and set on fire the foundations of the mountains.
(Deuteronomy 32:22) KJV
This is the first time that the word Hell appears in the Bible. It starts with the description of hell melting the Earth from the inside out. This is so graphic and the meaning is so obvious that it doesn’t need any interpretation but we can give it a context. It also happens to be an explanation of the beginning of hell and why it began: God’s anger.
- Why was God angry? because of sin.
- When did sin enter the world? Genesis 3.
And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life;
(Genesis 3:17) KJV
Genesis 3 is the fall of man when God cursed the Earth. This means that hell wasn’t created during the six days of creation. Hell is a direct consequence of sin. Cursed is the ground for thy sake? This is when nuclear decay began.
The fire which kindled was when nuclear decay began. The Earth formed around a gravitational singularity so the largest and densest atomic nuclei, the most prone to decay, were concentrated in the core. Nuclear decay caused the core to melt, not the surface.

Hell Begins
The first reference to hell in the Bible is also the passage that tells us that hell had a beginning. It tells us that the expansion of hell is melting the Earth from the inside out.
