Holy Matrimony

And He answered and said to them,โ€œHave you not read that He who made them at the beginning โ€˜made them male and female,โ€™ and said, โ€˜For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one fleshโ€™?

(Matthew 19:4-5) NKJV

Physical relationships between humans are, by their very nature, carnal. There’s only one situation in which the sexual union of two people is sanctified: holy matrimony.

Why? For the purpose of biological reproduction. That’s it. The way to make children is for one woman and one man to come together, that’s the reason why God ordained the sacrament of marriage. Anything else is considered to be fornication.

Holy Matrimony

One man – one woman marriage is sanctified for the purpose of reproduction.

The crisis which is ensnaring the church is the rising acceptance of LGBTQIA+ lifestyle in the form of anti-discrimination legislation. It’s already illegal to discriminate, but Pastors and church leaders are looking ahead to a time when it’ll be illegal to say anything negative about LGBTQIA+ life. Technically it’s already hate-speech, but Pastors and preachers depend on the separation of church and state for a level of immunity which puts them in a precarious situation.

What if something were to happen to the separation of church and state?

Some preachers like to boast that when the time comes they’ll go to prison for taking a stand on Biblical principles. They’re determined to prove what macho Christians they are. They’ve completely missed the point. They’re on a dangerous ego trip which will undermine the status of the church, and it’s not even necessary.
