The voice of the LORD breaks the cedars, Yes, the LORD splinters the cedars of Lebanon.
(Psalms 29:5) NKJV
According to our compilation of doublespeak terms used in Paleobotany and Paleontology “abundant” is a euphemism for eradication. That’s what Jurassic sediments preserve: the eradication of dinosaurs.
In thinking about a scripture passage for today we struck upon a little chain of causality: the Jurassic is notable for the diversity of conifers. Cedars are coniferous. Cedars of Lebanon are mentioned many times in the Bible, and Lebanon is well-known for fossils deposits assigned to the Jurassic. Closer to home, well, Jerusalem, the only known dinosaur tracks in the area were found at Beit Zayit.

Dinosaurs in Jerusalem
Although sneered at by some, one of the strangest, most fascinating sites in Israel is the Bet Zayit dinosaur site, even though it has been neglected for many years.
The best and most compelling evidence for the presence of dinosaurs on Earth during human history may be found in the book of Job. Chapter 40 includes a description of what could only be a sauropod dinosaur. Job is clearly familiar with it otherwise the Lord wouldn’t have used it as an example.

June 1 – Behemoth
For many years dinosaurs have been classified into two main types based on their hip structure: Ornithischia and Saurischia. Hip structure relates specifically to the different origins of Hydrosphere and Atmosphere.
“Look now at the behemoth, which I made along with you; He eats grass like an ox. See now, his strength is in his hips, And his power is in his stomach muscles. He moves his tail like a cedar; The sinews of his thighs are tightly knit.
(Job 40:15-17) NKJV
