Precise Timing of Noah’s Flood

In the six hundredth year of Noah’s life, in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month, the same day were all the fountains of the great deep broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened.

(Genesis 7:11) KJV

The Hagerman horse quarry fossils allow us deduce the time of year of Noah’s flood: late winter/early spring. Genesis says it was the second month, the seventeenth day of the month. In our calendar: February 17.

Since a wide range of age classes is represented in the sample, the Hagerman Horse Quarry probably formed as the result of a single catestrophic event rather than a gradual accumulation as has been previously thought. That this event may have taken place at the beginning of foaling season is suggested by the small number of newborn individuals and those less than a few weeks old. If the seasonal birth of E. simplicidens coincided with the wet winter season, then the Hagerman Horse Quarry may represent a single catastrophic accumulation, perhaps part of a herd that was killed trying to cross a river at high water or flood stage. p.134

It’s almost funny that the evidence points to early spring, foaling season, as being when the event occurred. That’s around February 17 which is what the Bible says. But why are we surprised? Time, it turns out, is the way that we can defeat the intellectual death-grip of popular science (SciPop).

The Biblical theory of gravitation gives us the phenomenon of gravitational time dilation, which allows us to say that the Earth may be about 6,000 years old while the remote regions of the cosmos may be 13.8 billion years old or older – at the same time. This is the donkey’s jawbone, and the confirmation we have of the timing of Noah’s flood is derived from horse mandibles (jawbones). That can’t be a coincidence. That’s the kind of thing that the Holy Spirit does.

The donkey’s jawbone (Judges 15:15) expresses the fact that it’s possible for the Earth to be about 6,000 years old while the remote regions of the cosmos my be 13.8 billion years old, or more, at the same time. This is due to a phenomenon known as gravitational time dilation. The connection between physics and the Bible is that, figuratively speaking, what Samson did to the Philistines in Lehi with a donkey’s jawbone is what’s going to happen in theoretical physics when the penny drops.

– Donkey’s Jawbone, definition

Understanding the nature of time is critical to the relationship between cause and effect, and it’s something which the Bible is very specific about.

The Donkey’s Jawbone

Also know as gravitational time dilation (GTD)

  • At the center of the Earth time isn’t passing.
  • At a radial distance of 6,371 km (surface of Earth) a day is 24 hours.
  • At the distance of the firmament (remote regions of the cosmos) 24 hours on Earth is 1,000 years.

So, a herd of zebras was killed and buried in a flood. We even know what time of year the flood occurred. How about that? Does anything more need to be said? This confirms that the Genesis account includes accurate data. Do you even science?
