Sound Reason

Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine? them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts. For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little:

Supposedly science is a state of knowing: knowledge as distinguished from ignorance or misunderstanding. Popular science (SciPop) however, is something very different. It’s not a body of knowledge, it’s an agenda.

Mainstream science (SciPop) is an attempt to rationalize human existence in such a way that no supernatural cause is required. Unfortunately the universe has a supernatural cause, so the first step in the SciPop reasoning process is to A priori reject the truth out of hand as either a premise or a possible conclusion (Popper’s paradox).

It makes use of induction (inductive reasoning) where a premise is used to supply evidence for its own conclusion.

SciPop is the attempt to co-opt science and reverse engineer it into what appears to be an antidote to God. It’s set itself the task of solving the following conundrum.

The SciPop Conundrum

1. IF the Earth is the center of the universe (an empirical observation),
   • THEN it means that the Earth is special.
2. IF the Earth is special,
   • THEN it isn’t accidental.
3. IF the Earth isn’t accidental,
   • THEN it has a specific reason and purpose.
4. IF the Earth has a specific reason and purpose,
   • THEN it’s part of a divine plan.
5. IF the Earth is part of a divine plan,
   • THEN there’s a divine planner.
6. IF there’s a divine planner,
   • THEN I’m accountable to a higher power.
7. IF I’m accountable to a higher power,
   • THEN it’s incumbent on me to seek his will.
8. IF I choose to ignore his will,
   • THEN I’m under his righteous judgement.

Just as IF is the basis of scientific rationale, the Word of the Lord is the basis of sound reason. A precept is a spoken command or order for action. The instructions that God gave to Jesus Christ, through whom He created the universe, are precepts. Let there be light, for example, is a precept: a command for action. And it was so. It’s also the basis for a reasoned argument.

And to whom indeed shall the Lord teach knowledge, the knowledge of truth? And whom shall he make to understand doctrine, the True Science of Jesus Christ? Them that can use their own minds and who don’t just thoughtlessly suck the breast of popular science for their intellectual satisfaction.

For precept must be upon precept, the sequence must be understood. “Let there be light,” must be before, “Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters to separate water from water.” One precept must lay the foundation for the action of the next, precept upon precept, line upon line. The reasoning must follow this strict progression. We must build, line upon line, line upon line, this model of our world. Here a little, there a little.

Isaiah is trying to bring a message of peace to the Israelites but they don’t want to hear it. They’re so tired of prophesies about repenting and doom, they’ve heard it all before.

For with stammering lips and another tongue will he speak to this people. To whom he said, This is the rest wherewith ye may cause the weary to rest; and this is the refreshing: yet they would not hear. But the word of the LORD was unto them precept upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little; that they might go, and fall backward, and be broken, and snared, and taken.

It’s just like how we, Matty’s Paradigm, have a message of peace for Christians but they don’t want to know. They’re totally fine with not knowing. They just tune it out. To them it’s all just a load of blah, blah, blah… It gets ignored along with all the other fake news.

So with our imperfect English and a bunch of scientific jargon it’ll be made plain to the children of God. To whom we say: take this reasoning and be at ease. Now it’s time to rest. The battle with SciPop is over, be at peace. The mockers, scorners, intellectuals and arrogant have no defense; yet they will not listen.

For the Word of the Lord is unto them precept on precept, line upon line, line upon line; here a little, there a little, and they will go, backsliding and be shattered, they will fall and be snared and trapped.
