Wash Your Clothes

And the LORD said unto Moses, Go unto the people, and sanctify them to day and to morrow, and let them wash their clothes, And be ready against the third day: for the third day the LORD will come down in the sight of all the people upon mount Sinai.

And Moses went down from the mount unto the people, and sanctified the people; and they washed their clothes.

And Moses brought forth the people out of the camp to meet with God; and they stood at the nether part of the mount.

(Exodus 19:10-11, 14, 17) KJV

Possibly the best advice which is the most sustainable and will avoid falling into the trap of trying to out do the Jones is this: wear clean clothes. The state of our heart is what counts, and only God can see that.

Change Your Garments

Then God said to Jacob, “Arise, go up to Bethel and dwell there; and make an altar there to God, who appeared to you when you fled from the face of Esau your brother.”

And Jacob said to his household and to all who were with him, “Put away the foreign gods that are among you, purify yourselves, and change your garments. Then let us arise and go up to Bethel; and I will make an altar there to God, who answered me in the day of my distress and has been with me in the way which I have gone.”

(Genesis 35:1-3) NKJV

The clothes that we wear to church shouldn’t be an expression of pride in accomplishments or an indication of status, but they probably shouldn’t be the same clothes that we wear every other day.

Holy and Profane

Her priests have violated My law and profaned My holy things; they have not distinguished between the holy and unholy, nor have they made known the difference between the unclean and the clean; and they have hidden their eyes from My Sabbaths, so that I am profaned among them.

(Ezekiel 22:26) NKJV

Holy and unholy (profane) are synonyms for clean and unclean. They’re part of how the Bible describes spiritual condition. We’re either alive or dead, spiritual or carnal, giving or receiving, holy or unholy, clean or unclean.

Come as You Are

My brethren, have not the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord of glory, with respect of persons. For if there come unto your assembly a man with a gold ring, in goodly apparel, and there come in also a poor man in vile raiment; And ye have respect to him that weareth the gay clothing, and say unto him, Sit thou here in a good place; and say to the poor, Stand thou there, or sit here under my footstool: Are ye not then partial in yourselves, and are become judges of evil thoughts?

(James 2:1-4) KJV

This is a warning that we shouldn’t treat people differently based on the clothing that they’re wearing. It’s talking about a visitor to the church. When did this become the idea that you can wear whatever you want to church because it doesn’t matter?

Global Warming

For a fire is kindled in My anger, And shall burn to the lowest hell; It shall consume the earth with her increase, And set on fire the foundations of the mountains.

(Deuteronomy 32:22) NKJV

And God remembered Noah, and every living thing, and all the cattle that was with him in the ark: and God made a wind to pass over the earth, and the waters asswaged.

(Genesis 8:1) KJV

As the waters abated after Noah’s flood there was significant global cooling which caused equatorial and polar glaciation. There were temperate zones in the Northern and Southern hemisphere.

The Things We See

Then He turned to His disciples and said privately, “Blessed are the eyes which see the things you see; for I tell you that many prophets and kings have desired to see what you see, and have not seen it, and to hear what you hear, and have not heard it.

(Luke 10:23-24) NKJV

We have a very flippant attitude towards the “scientific” basis of the Christian establishment. That’s because it’s a half-baked capitulation with popular science (SciPop). It’s nothing personal.

Paleodoublespeak

Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; Who put darkness for light, and light for darkness; Who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!

(Isaiah 5:20) NKJV

Matty’s Paradigm is a scientific theory of creation and this is the reason why we’re meticulous when defining terms to ensure that our definitions are applied consistently. It’s an ongoing process of refinement.

Replacement Theology In Its Warp and Woof

All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.

(2 Timothy 3:16-17) NKJV

YHVH God tells us that He created the Heavens and the Earth and the seas, and all that is in them, in six days, and rested on the seventh day. Do we believe that, or have we replaced the revelation which the Creator has given to all by our own worldly wisdom and knowledge, so called?
