Radiometric Dating is Pseudoscience

O Timothy, keep that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding profane and vain babblings, and oppositions of science falsely so-called: Which some professing have erred concerning the faith. Grace be with thee. Amen.

(1 Timothy 6:20-21) KJV

Radiometric dating is an example of inductive reductive circular reasoning. It requires the assumption that nuclear decay rates are constant and an unwarranted application of the half-life rate law to nuclear decay.

  1. Nuclear decay rates,
  2. the half-life rate law.

Only Half a Life?

worried girl in summer dress on train platform

The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.

(John 10:10) NKJV

Ernest Rutherford realized that Darwin’s theory of evolution needed a sound experimental foundation. Unfortunately, evolution as conceived by Darwin is wishful thinking, and so a contrived foundation was the best that Rutherford could do.

The Gospel is Physics

But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved—

(Ephesians 2:4-5) Good News Translation

Passing from death to life is referred to as being quickened, q. We’re quickened when we put our faith in Jesus Christ. It’s also called being saved, or “born again.”

The Gospel is Physics (logic)

  • IF being dead in sins (pG) is when we’re under the power of the law (M),
    • AND we receive the forgiveness of sin (A),
      • when we’re quickened (q) through faith in Jesus Christ,
  • THEN pGxq=A. (F=MA)

The Gospel as Physics

“Make the people sit down,” Jesus told them. (There was a lot of grass there.) So all the people sat down; there were about five thousand men. Jesus took the bread, gave thanks to God, and distributed it to the people who were sitting there. He did the same with the fish, and they all had as much as they wanted. When they were all full, he said to his disciples, “Gather the pieces left over; let us not waste a bit.” So they gathered them all and filled twelve baskets with the pieces left over from the five barley loaves which the people had eaten.

(John 6:10-13) Good News Translation

It’s possible to write the gospel of salvation through faith in Jesus Christ as a physical formula, but that’s just algebra, can we prove a real-world connection between Physics and the Bible?

Theoretical Physics has a Critical Error

Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”

(John 8:31-32) NKJV

There’s a critical error in theoretical physics. The gravitational constant, big G, is an effect of gravity, not its cause. Big G is caused by a gravitational field A which is emitted from the center of the Earth, it’s not derived from the mass of bodies, pG, in the field.

The First Law of Thermodynamics

By faith we understand that the universe was created by the word of God, so that what is seen was not made out of things that are visible.

(Hebrews 11:3) ESV

The earth was without form and void, and darkness was over the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters.

(Genesis 1:2) ESV

Genesis 1:2 gives us the conditions predicted to be necessary by scientific models of the beginning of the universe. A such, the first law of thermodynamics isn’t broken in the Biblical account of creation.

The Traditional Understanding of “Let there be Light”

In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep.  And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. And God said, Let there be light.

(Genesis 1:1-3) KJV

The first major split between Matty’s Paradigm and Creationism is in answering the question: What’s the source or nature of the light that the Lord created on the first day of creation?
