Good and Evil

I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace and create evil: I the Lord do all these things.
(Isaiah 45:7) KJV

The purpose of creation is to separate good from evil. A reasonable question is: Why were they mingled together in the first place? If God is good, then the evil had to be created from good. The sinless became sin.

Light or Darkness?

Despite the fallen nature of the creation Jesus of Nazareth lived a life of sinless perfection. Even in an imperfect world God is still perfect.

Darkness Did Not Comprehend It

And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.
(John 1:5) NKJV

It got dark at the end of the first day. This is another way in which we can see how God the Son has been manifested as three distinct identities.

The Milk of the Word

Wherefore laying aside all malice, and all guile, and hypocrisies, and envies, and all evil speakings, As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby: If so be ye have tasted that the Lord is gracious.
(1 Peter 2:1-3) KJV

If a baby needs milk to survive before it can tolerate solid food, has this been patterned after the processes which took place on the first and second days of the creation of the universe?

January 31st

Night

God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And there was evening and there was morning, the first day.
(Genesis 1:5) ESV

Why did it get dark at the end of the first day? It wasn’t because of the absence of light, it was due to the obstruction of light by the corruption which resulted from nucleosynthesis. It needed a new name: night.

What was the Darkness?

The darkness that existed in the beginning (Genesis 1:1) was the absence of light. The darkness at the evening of the first day was the obstruction of light, shadow as opposed to void. This is why it had to have a new name: night.
