Bound in Heaven

And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven. And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

I have used part of this passage, verses 17-18, before as the basis for my post Who Wants to Attack Hell With Me? but today I want to focus on verse 19, about binding and loosing.

Rejoicing to Run a Race

{To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David.} The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork. Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge. There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard. Their line is gone out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them hath he set a tabernacle for the sun, Which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, and rejoiceth as a strong man to run a race. His going forth is from the end of the heaven, and his circuit unto the ends of it: and there is nothing hid from the heat thereof.

The new heaven and new Earth spoken of in the Revelation are filled with the light of the glory of God. There’ll be no day or night, no need of the sun or moon. So what’s going to happen to the sun and moon?

Steampunk Sniper

I think I only dressed up for Halloween one time in the last 35+ years but for some reason I decided that this year was my year.

I got the kernel of the idea with a few items I picked up at Spirit of Halloween, but the idea kept on growing until I had decided to make a Steampunk brass sniper rifle.

It started with a $10 kids gun from Dollar General Store.

I used odds and ends that I have had for 25 years.

Then it was time to take it apart and paint it.

Chimaphila maculata

I ran into an old friend while I was out today, but I couldn’t remember her name. I knew it started with chim… but I couldn’t remember what was next. I was pretty sure that she was in the Heath family, the Ericaceae.

I actually pulled out my phone so I could Google chim… and see if it would jog my memory. No way. Do you know how many things start with chim? I had to look in an actual book to be able to find the rest of the name. Fancy that!

A Mountain Filled the Whole Earth

Daniel 2:34-35

Thou sawest till that a stone was cut out without hands, which smote the image upon his feet that were of iron and clay, and brake them to pieces. Then was the iron, the clay, the brass, the silver, and the gold, broken to pieces together, and became like the chaff of the summer threshingfloors; and the wind carried them away, that no place was found for them: and the stone that smote the image became a great mountain, and filled the whole earth.

Daniel records a vision of seeing a stone, cut out without hands, symbolically destroying human rule of the earth and forming a mountain that fills the whole earth.

From Geba to Rimmon

Zechariah 14:10-11

All the land shall be turned as a plain from Geba to Rimmon south of Jerusalem: and it shall be lifted up, and inhabited in her place, from Benjamin’s gate unto the place of the first gate, unto the corner gate, and from the tower of Hananeel unto the king’s winepresses. And men shall dwell in it, and there shall be no more utter destruction; but Jerusalem shall be safely inhabited.

The land from Geba to Rimmon, an area including Jerusalem with a diameter of about 40 miles, is going to be lifted up.
This will be a plateau at the summit of a mountain that fills the whole earth.

Comfort Ye My People

Isaiah 40:1-5

Comfort ye, comfort ye my people, saith your God. Speak ye comfortably to Jerusalem, and cry unto her, that her warfare is accomplished, that her iniquity is pardoned: for she hath received of the LORD’S hand double for all her sins. The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the LORD, make straight in the desert a highway for our God. Every valley shall be exalted, and every mountain and hill shall be made low: and the crooked shall be made straight, and the rough places plain: And the glory of the LORD shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it.

If every mountain is to be lowered and every valley raised up, then we are talking about flattening out the entire surface of earth.
Is this poetic language or a prophecy of major tectonic activity?

For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.

Our generation is on a highway to hell because of popular science (SciPop) and people like Richard Dawkins, Bill Nye and Neil DeGrasse Tyson. These are the Pied Pipers of Hamelin, leading our children to destruction.
