Opinionity

The theoretical foundation of modern science has been destroyed.

Atheism is no longer intellectually viable.

The only thing left for the die hard Atheist Science Trolls (ASTs) and Scientifically Illiterate Science Worshipers (SISW) is to acknowledge that they are, in fact, devotees of Opinionity, the religion in which you worship your own opinion.

I have identified some of the core beliefs and strategies, or canons, of Opinionity;

  1. The definition of knowledge:
By combining anecdotal evidence with probability it’s a reasonable assumption.
  2. Facts are what you decide they are:
The idea that stars are suns is an assumption based on circumstantial evidence, it is not a testable hypothesis.
You may choose to believe that it is a fact, in which case it is your opinion.
  3. Self delusion:
Your opinion is actually a perception of reality that is based on your assumption that your intellectual superiority is indeed intellectual superiority.
  4. Scientific illiteracy:
When you tell ME to go and Google something that YOU don’t have sufficient knowledge of to explain, this is empirical evidence that YOU are in over your head, not ME.
  5. Deflection by irrelevance:
The majority of failed arguments degenerate to insults, those that don’t deflect to irrelevant topics that have no bearing on what has been discussed so far.
  6. Special pleading:
This is not just something that religious people do, it is a behavior that everyone engages in. For instance, when you appeal to a mythical body of knowledge available only to those that have studied astronomy in college but, since you didn’t study astronomy in college you can’t understand it. This gives rise to the RAA (Reverse Applicability Anomaly) which is when you realize that Special Pleading applies to how you act, as a result of which you are now unable to comprehend it.
  7. Advanced self delusion:
You don’t have any beliefs because you are an atheist.
  8. Super advanced self delusion:
The universe can be considered to be an effect. It does not need to have a cause.
