It’s the season of Christmas and it’s satisfying to re-read the scriptures that describe the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ. Then we ponder: are phenomena like the star of Bethlehem congruent with Matty’s Paradigm?

Then Herod, when he had privily called the wise men, inquired of them diligently what time the star appeared. And he sent them to Bethlehem, and said, Go and search diligently for the young child; and when ye have found him, bring me word again, that I may come and worship him also. When they had heard the king, they departed; and, lo, the star, which they saw in the east, went before them, till it came and stood over where the young child was. When they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceeding great joy. Do you have a star or an angel on the top of your Christmas tree? Either one is appropriate. In keeping with the narrative of the story, it’s fitting to follow the star to the place where you give your gifts.

Christmas is over. Once again the anticipation and excitement, planning and preparation, that builds in intensity from Thanksgiving and which bursts upon us in a flurry of excitement is over. The year is winding down

We can find ourselves in turmoil at this time of year with the frantic running around that needs to be done. The rest of the world is also frantically running around at the same time.

God has revealed a way for us to understand science which shows that it’s in perfect harmony with the Bible. This is possible because we made a choice to believe that, no matter what, the Bible is always right.
