The intellectual tragedy of our generation is a failure to understand what evidence is and how it’s used, and the resulting misconception about what constitutes knowledge. The theory of knowledge is called epistemology.

July 24th

Hitchens’s Razor

Pride goes before destruction, And a haughty spirit before a fall.

Hitchens’s razor is one of the most popular atheist deities. It’s the intellectual equivalent of putting your thumbs in your ears and wiggling your fingers while sticking your tongue out. It’s regarded as intellectual high ground from which “scientists” can automatically dismiss anything said by a person of faith.

You’ve probably heard that there’s no new thing under the sun, right? So how on Earth can Matty pop up and claim to have resolved the apparent differences between science and the Bible?

What is Matty’s Paradigm?

Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.

Matty’s Paradigm is, among other things, a scientific theory of creation. Most creationists make the mistake of making their case for creation from within the popular science paradigm (SciPop). It’s not necessary.

Evidence is Irrelevant

This is evidence of the righteous judgment of God, that you may be considered worthy of the kingdom of God, for which you are also suffering

(2 Thessalonians 1:5) ESV

The physical world that we can see is evidence of its past. A fossil skull, for example, is proof that something happened at an earlier time. What we think it’s evidence of is based on our point of view.
