Gehenna

And if thy hand offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter into life maimed, than having two hands to go into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched: Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.

(Mark 9:43-44) KJV

Jesus tells us that the punishment for sin is burning in hell, a fire like in Hinnom (gehenna). However, hell hasn’t been replaced by burning trash in Hinnom. Hell is expanding, it’s the cause of global warming.

The Midst of Hell

The strong among the mighty shall speak to him out of the midst of hell with them that help him: they are gone down, they lie uncircumcised, slain by the sword.

(Ezekiel 32:21) KJV

It’s universally believed today that hell, translated from either the Hebrew sheol or Greek hades is mythological, after all, there’s no world below where souls go when their bodies die, right? Is there?

It Devoured the Great Deep

Thus hath the Lord GOD shewed unto me: and, behold, the Lord GOD called to contend by fire, and it devoured the great deep, and did eat up a part.

(Amos 7:4) KJV

In Matty’s Paradigm the purpose of the fountains of the great deep was to allow the waters of the deep to drain into the interior of the Earth as the dry land was spread out on the third day. The deep became the great deep, in the interior of the Earth

Sets on Fire the Course of Nature

And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity. The tongue is so set among our members that it defiles the whole body, and sets on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire by hell.

(James 3:6) NKJV

The interesting part of this verse isn’t, surprisingly, the reference to hell. In this passage the word translated as hell is gehenna. Jesus uses gehenna, continual burning trash and bodies in the vale of Hinnom, as a picture of what the fire of hell is going to be like. The interesting part is sets on fire the course of nature.

The Midst Of Hell

The strong among the mighty shall speak to him out of the midst of hell with them that help him: they are gone down, they lie uncircumcised, slain by the sword.

(Ezekiel 32:21) KJV

In the King James version of the Bible the word hell occurs 54 times. In the Old Testament this is a translation of the Hebrew word sheol – שְׁא֣וֹל. In the New Testament the word hell is a translation of three Greek words: hades– ᾅδῃ, tartarusταρταρώσας and gehennaγέενναν. I will explain how all of these words relate to the internal structure of the earth or, in one case, why it doesn’t.

There is a Great Gulf Fixed

And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence.

(Luke 16:26) KJV

Hell is located at the center of the Earth. Its position and size are verified by seismological data. There is a great gulf of open space between the surface of hell and the inner surface of the lower mantle.
