Tithes and Offerings

Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, That there may be food in My house, And try Me now in this,” Says the LORD of hosts, “If I will not open for you the windows of heaven And pour out for you such blessing That there will not be room enough to receive it.

(Malachi 3:10) NKJV

It may seem like an odd departure from our discussion of the war in heaven to bring up tithes and offerings, but it may be an important clue. Why a tithe (10%)? What’s the significance of this number?

soap: וּכְבֹרִ֖ית

But who may abide the day of his coming? and who shall stand when he appeareth? for he is like a refiner’s fire, and like fullers’ soap:

( Malachi 3:2 )

soap: וּכְבֹרִ֖ית – borith

  • lye ( Sodium hydroxide, NaOH ),
  • alkali,
  • potash,
  • soap, used in washing

The coming judgment of God is described as being, among other things, like being washed with strong soap. Let’s take a look at the word translated as “soap” and see if it has any connection with Chemistry.

There has been an interesting discussion on Twitter today. I challenged the ASTs (atheist science trolls) with a way to get the proof of God that they have been demanding. I actually put it in terms of a testable hypothesis for the existence of God. The basis of the test is Malachi 3:10:
