Matty’s Harmonization

We’re harmonizing science with the Bible. How can this be possible if, superficially, science and the Bible look completely different? We have to know what’s real science and what’s not.

Matty’s Razor

For I did not receive it from any man, nor was I taught it, but I received it through a revelation of Jesus Christ.
(Galatians 1:12) ESV

The idea that evidence is neutral and we all have access to it is known as Matty’s Razor. Evidence doesn’t lead to a conclusion, it just is. How we interpret evidence is determined by what we believe. It’s called cognitive bias.

The New Scientific Knowledge

O Timothy! Guard what was committed to your trust, avoiding the profane and idle babblings and contradictions of what is falsely called knowledge—by professing it some have strayed concerning the faith. Grace be with you. Amen.

Knowledge and facts are things which ought to be true regardless of what we believe about God or the origin of the universe. Therefore, something which is only true in the popular science paradigm (SciPop) isn’t knowledge.

Popular Science is Axiomatically Wrong

Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them. For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. The popular science paradigm (SciPop) wasn’t deduced from axioms, its axioms were induced by accepting the premise of the paradigm. SciPop axioms aren’t axiomatic.
