Eocene
My doctrine shall drop as the rain, my speech shall distil as the dew, as the small rain upon the tender herb, and as the showers upon the grass:
(Deuteronomy 32:2) KJV
We’re conducting a survey of the periods and epochs of the geological timescale. We’ve found that the description of every supposed period or epoch makes it out to be either one of two things:
- an ecosystem which has been buried in Noah’s flood, or
- an event which has affected the distribution of sediment deposited in the flood.
The Eocene is in the former category.

Paleobotany and the evolution of plants
We’re studying the periods of geological history as described by Wilson N. Stewart.
This was the text book we used in grad school when we studied for a masters of science in Biology.
EOCENE
– Wilson N. Stewart, Paleobotany and the evolution of plants.
Subtropical climates with heavy rainfall supported distinctive forests in northern and southern latitudes. Grasslands limited. Many genera of angiosperms became extinct with new, more modern types appearing. All modern orders of mammals present; first horses.

August 22nd – Eocene
If we deduce how to account for the evidence, a buried ecosystem, it leads us to conclude that the event was a world-wide flood.
