Then they entered into a covenant to seek the Lord God of their fathers with all their heart and with all their soul; and whoever would not seek the Lord God of Israel was to be put to death, whether small or great, whether man or woman.
(2 Chronicles 15:12) NKJV
What happens when people don’t seek the Lord? In the Old Testament times of the children of Israel they would be put to death. In our modern age there’s nothing like that. You’re free to believe whatever you want.
The consequence of this choice is the reason for why Jesus Christ had a ministry on Earth, why he founded the church, and why he gave us the great commission. If people reject the self-evident truth about our creator God, neglect the gift of everlasting life given us through believing in Jesus Christ, what’s going to happen to them?
This is where things have gotten fuzzy. Secular culture can’t tolerate the fact that there’s right and wrong, judgement, and heaven and hell. So much so that to a large degree churches have capitulated and no longer talk about the gospel in those terms. It’s a sorry state of affairs.
We have a solution: hell is expanding and it’s the cause of global warming. Believing in Jesus Christ is the only way to escape it. Plus we’ve got the physics to prove it in the form of a scientific theory of creation which includes a Biblical theory of gravitation.
Time is of the essence. it’s more important than ever that Christians get their act together and start warning people about the hell and damnation.
