And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

The theological interpretations of this passage are wide ranging. We can’t get into an analytical breakdown of it because all it would do is confuse the issue. We take the position that the universe had to exist in order for this war to have taken place, so therefore it was AFTER the six days of creation.
The questions is, if it was after the week of creation ended, how does it fit with the fall of man in Genesis 3? Many, probably most people, believe that Satan rebelled in heaven, was cast out and fell to Earth, then either influenced or was the serpent which beguiled Eve in the Garden of Eden. We reject this interpretation.
