Where is Hell?

For a fire is kindled in My anger, And shall burn to the lowest hell; It shall consume the earth with her increase, And set on fire the foundations of the mountains.

(Deuteronomy 32:22) NKJV

We’re very thankful to the small number of folk who have reached out through our contact us form to discuss ideas about natural theology and science. It’s interesting to see different opinions about what evidence means in relation to the testimony of scripture.

It can be difficult at time to overcome the Twitter-conditioning that many of us have picked up and be curt or abrupt rather than compassionate and considerate. It’s very important to stay focused on being Christ-like. Salvation is through faith in Jesus Christ and the details of what we each believe beyond that are largely immaterial.

Christian approaches to Earth science are becoming very accurate and highly sophisticated. The depth to which some folk have been able to model how the great flood of Noah is responsible for depositing the stratigraphic column is amazing. It’s clear that many people are working very hard and investing a lot of resources on this.

It’s also highly fractured and there are many points of contention. However, despite the various factions involved in the work there’s a single broad theme emerging in these discussions which can be addressed with one simple question:

Where is hell?

– simple question.

Every model that we’ve seen is an attempt to induce a rationalization of evidence to fit the popular science (SciPop) premise that hell isn’t at the center of the Earth. Sadly, it appears that the majority of scientifically-minded Christians who have a working knowledge of geologic and tectonic process of the Earth will defiantly reject a model which has hell at the center.

Having hell at the center of the Earth solves the problems that they’re arguing about, plus it’s Biblically accurate. Not to mention the fact hell is expanding, it’s the cause of global warming. It doesn’t get much more timely and relevant than that.

If the truth about God is self-evident what’s the significance for atheism? Atheism isn’t intellectually viable.
