Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.
(John 6:29) KJV
We’re frequently challenged to prove the existence of God, but there’s two reasons why it’s not necessary to:
- We don’t need proof because we have faith,
- Proof of God won’t do you any good, God requires faith.
Allow us to substantiate these claims.
I believe the Bible because I choose to. It has nothing to do with evidence. When I got saved back in July 1997 I was so thankful to God, and so ashamed of the life that I had lead before salvation, that I vowed that I would reject human wisdom and accept the Bible 100%, even if I didn’t understand it. I believe the Bible out of gratitude to God for my life, and to Jesus Christ for my salvation.
– Matty
This is a willful choice that in the absence of proof, evidence or even understanding, the Bible is the authority in our life for history, science and general guidance. Call it blind faith if you will, but we’ve no need to justify it. We’re justified by it. We’re hereby exempt from a rule system called the scientific method, or any burden of proof required by an epistemological razor.
That being said, we’ve been called to carry out a mission: we’re going to take the rule system called the scientific method and prove the Bible with it, and then we’re going to use an epistemological razor to destroy the popular science paradigm (SciPop).
Atheist science trolls (ASTs) and the like reject the Bible because, they believe, science has proven that it can’t possibly be correct. This is where we take issue because, it turns out, there’s no proof that the Bible is wrong, there’s only an inductive rationalization of evidence that the Bible is wrong based on having previously assumed that the Bible is wrong. That’s circular reasoning.

July 25th – Matty’s Razor
We all have the same evidence. Our choice of paradigm determines what we think it’s evidence of.
