Gravitational Golf

Do all this in prayer, asking for God’s help. Pray on every occasion, as the Spirit leads. For this reason keep alert and never give up; pray always for all God’s people.

(Ephesians 6:18) Good News Translation

Every particle in the universe attracts every other particle in the universe with a force which is proportional to the sum of their mass and inversely proportional to the square of the distance between them.

Matty’s Law of Biblical Gravitation

And David put his hand in his bag, and took thence a stone, and slang it, and smote the Philistine in his forehead, that the stone sunk into his forehead; and he fell upon his face to the earth.

(1 Samuel 17:49) KJV

In our Biblical theory of gravitation, gravity is a field which is emitted from the singularity at the center of the Earth. In this case the theory and observation are congruent.

Immanuel Velikovsky

In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began;

(Titus 1:2) KJV

Immanuel Velikovsky (1895-1979) reconciled science with the Bible as an atheist. His name is universally scorned but not because he was wrong, because no one wanted to hear what he had to say.

Heavy Rainfall and Aridity

And it came to pass in the six hundred and first year, in the first month, the first day of the month, that the waters were dried up from the earth; and Noah removed the covering of the ark and looked, and indeed the surface of the ground was dry. And in the second month, on the twenty-seventh day of the month, the earth was dried.

(Genesis 8:13-14) NKJV

If the rocks of the Devonian tell a tale of the world being flooded and then drying out, why are we surprised?

Only Half a Life?

The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.

(John 10:10) NKJV

Ernest Rutherford knew that Charles Darwin’s theory of evolution needed a sound experimental foundation, but it’s wishful thinking so a contrived foundation was the best that he could do.

The Big Picture

What is man that You are mindful of him, And the son of man that You visit him?

(Psalms 8:4) NKJV

July 19

Let’s take a moment and consider what we’ve accomplished in our discussion so far. It’s important to remember the big picture because of the subject matter that we’ll consider in the next few days.

The Gates of Hell

And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven. And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

(Matthew 16:17-19) KJV

A gate is stationary. It’s the weak point in a barrier that’s part of the defense of a place. Gates don’t move or go on the attack. On the contrary, if the gates of hell aren’t prevailing, then they must be under attack.

Drowning in Peace

For thou hadst cast me into the deep, in the midst of the seas; and the floods compassed me about: all thy billows and thy waves passed over me. Then I said, I am cast out of thy sight; yet I will look again toward thy holy temple. The waters compassed me about, even to the soul: the depth closed me round about, the weeds were wrapped about my head.

(Jonah 2:3-5) KJV

Jonah remembers sinking into the sea, and as he sank he saw the surface receding. He was mindful enough, while drowning, to think about the temple of the Lord in Jerusalem. Evidently he didn’t panic.

Salvation

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

(Romans 10:9-10) KJV

Principia Mattymatica is complicated but don’t worry, it’s not necessary for salvation. There isn’t a quiz or exam. Whatever you believe about the Bible and science doesn’t have any influence over your salvation.
