Proof of God Won’t Help You

For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who by their unrighteousness suppress the truth. For what can be known about God is plain to them, because God has shown it to them.

(Romans 1:18-19) ESV

On one hand, the Bible says that the truth about God is known to everyone, no one has an excuse to not believe. On the other hand, God doesn’t have to personally intervene in our lives to prove himself to us.

We’re told that there are 2 witnesses to the truth about God:

  1. The first witness is the conscience, our spiritual nature,
  2. The second witness is the creation itself.

However most people, especially atheist science trolls (ASTs) are in abject denial and so they reject this argument out of hand. There’s not really any point discussing it, even though they will aggressively demand proof of God, because there’s a reason why it serves no purpose to prove God.

God’s plan of redemption is a purification process for the Earth whereby God intends to save only that which is truly good and pure from the Earth before the rest is destroyed in the lake of fire in outer darkness. The way this has been accomplished is, to put it bluntly, to give the physical matter consciousness and free will, and allow it to choose what it wants: God or no God.

As such, proof of God would mean that the decision we make to believe or not believe wouldn’t be a choice of a free will, it would simply be the response to an instruction. This doesn’t meet the objective. If God was going to personally visit everyone and say, “Hey, I’m God, I’m proving myself to you,” it would negate the choice. It would be the same thing as saving everybody, and that defeats the purpose of the refining process.

We all have the same evidence. Our choice of paradigm determines what we think it’s evidence of.
