Cenozoic/Upper Noachian (Subsidence)

And the waters decreased continually until the tenth month. In the tenth month, on the first day of the month, the tops of the mountains were seen.

(Genesis 8:5) NKJV

The Earth was flooded for about a year, including the 40 days of rain. Sediments were deposited which were later eroded, metamorphosed and lithified as the waters subsided.

When the flood waters subsided it caused the slumping and folding which is evident is a lot of sedimentary deposits. Material moved around and in places it was eroded and redeposited.
