Do you not say, โThere are still four months and then comes the harvestโ? Behold, I say to you, lift up your eyes and look at the fields, for they are already white for harvest!
(John 4:35) NKJV
There has never been a time when there were so many people looking for answers. Answers to questions like:
If there’s a God why does he allow evil to exist?
– Reasonable Question
We’re at humanity’s Dunkirk moment: the people of God have wandered so far away from the truth that we’re being defeated on every front and we’re at risk of being wiped out. The only escape is to pack everybody into the life boats and flee to safety. The lifeboat is the church, just in case you didn’t know.
We may be approaching the greatest harvest of souls in history. We can be prepared if we have a message that makes sense to the modern mind. Like this: God allows evil to exist so that you can be evil if you want to. Evil is necessary in order to manifest free will.
The problem here is that there’s a lot of confusion about whether or not it’s possible to have free will if God is omniscient, omnipresent and omnipotent. Theological commentary and atheist propaganda are indistinguishable. There’s a couple of ways to approach this.
One is our theory of time. God stopped time at a specific point in space and this is the singularity at the center of the Earth. Time passes more quickly the further away we are from the singularity. If God’s heart is the singularity where time isn’t passing, and his mind is on the edge of space where time has already passed, then God is aware of all of time, simultaneously. Therefore, God knows our outcome because he’s seen it happen, not because he made our choices for us.
The other approach is: what if we can show people that free will is a physical property of the material that we’re made of? We can show them the plan of salvation as a physical interaction at the sub-atomic level. It doesn’t change salvation, that’s still by grace through faith in Jesus Christ, but it’s not mythological, it’s physics.
