We’ve found that the previous theory about the internal structure of Earth was induced, but no body knew any better so it was OK. We were in a state of blissful ignorance, assuming that ignorance was knowledge.
Now we have another new generation of scientists who want to make their mark. We have an abundance of new analytical techniques ready to analyze the same insubstantial data set. It’s setting up for a theoretical melt down. The perfect storm. No matter how much technology or young eager minds you have, when there’s practically no data of any use then you’re going to have a problem.
The entire narrative will change as soon as someone suggests a solution to this issue. However, the real problem is that the actual nature of the interior of the Earth is unknown. Popular science (SciPop) will never be able to settle on an answer because it’s determined to promote a false narrative that hell is not at the center of the Earth, and that there’s no great gulf of open space between the mantle and hell.
