Hadés – αδη

And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.

( Luke 16:23 )

The New Testament (Greek) references to hell and the interior of the earth are in harmony with the spherical hollow earth model (SHEM) which we have constructed from the Old Testament (Hebrew).

The Lowest Hell

For a fire is kindled in mine anger, and shall burn unto the lowest hell, and shall consume the earth with her increase, and set on fire the foundations of the mountains.

( Deuteronomy 32:22 )

The pit, the pit of corruption, and the lowest hell are the same thing: the molten core of the earth from which there is no return. The grave, on the other hand, in the mantle, you can be brought up from.

The Pit of Corruption

Behold, for peace I had great bitterness: but thou hast in love to my soul delivered it from the pit of corruption: for thou hast cast all my sins behind thy back.

For the grave cannot praise thee, death can not celebrate thee: they that go down into the pit cannot hope for thy truth.

( Isaiah 38:17-18 )

Our spherical hollow earth model (SHEM) is compatible with everything the Bible says pertaining to how its form fits its function. The function of the pit is to hold the souls of the lost until the final judgement.

From Tehom to Sheol

In the six hundredth year of Noah’s life, in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month, the same day were all the fountains of the great deep broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened. And the rain was upon the earth forty days and forty nights.

( Genesis 7:11-12 )

Hell is the default outcome for all those who reject the freely available alternative – life in Jesus Christ – it is not an example of God being mean.

Tehom

Thou shalt not make thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the waters beneath the earth:

( Deuteronomy 5:8 )

The deep, of Genesis 1:2 became the great deep, the deep and the depths of the created world. They are all translated from the same Hebrew word – tehom. The deep became creation. The word became flesh.

Deep Depths

When there were no depths, I was brought forth; when there were no fountains abounding with water.

( Proverbs 8:24 )

“When there were no depths,” refers to the time before the 3rd day of creation. On the 3rd day “the deep,” became “the great deep.” It is not saying that there was a time before creation when there was no water.

The Pillars of the Earth

He raiseth up the poor out of the dust, and lifteth up the beggar from the dunghill, to set them among princes, and to make them inherit the throne of glory: for the pillars of the earth are the LORD’S, and he hath set the world upon them.

(1 Samuel 2:8)

The Hebrew word tebel (world) may be used to refer to part of the Earth (erets). The world has been set upon the pillars of the earth. We’ve deduced that in this instance world refers to the crust and mantle.

Ananias and Sapphira

Open Door Baptist Church

Acts 5:1-11

Finish up Acts 4 and set the scene:

Acts 4:32-37

How seriously are we taking God?

It’s not hard to imagine the conversation between Ananias and Sapphira:

  • Sapphira: wow, that’s a lot of money.
  • Ananias: yep, now we can give it to the apostles.
  • Sapphira: all of it?
  • Ananias: what do you mean?
  • Sapphira: well, they don’t know how much it is, why do we have to give them all of it…

Matthew 4:7

Are we tempting God?

Deuteronomy 6:16

Exodus 17:1-7

The Star of Bethlehem

Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem, Saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him.

(Matthew 2:1-2) KJV

As far-fetched as it may seem that the angelic host visited Bethlehem on the night of Jesus birth riding on a section of the brightly shining crystalline firmament, we shouldn’t be surprised.
