The Intention of Man’s Heart

And when the LORD smelled the pleasing aroma, the LORD said in his heart, “I will never again curse the ground because of man, for the intention of man’s heart is evil from his youth. Neither will I ever again strike down every living creature as I have done.

(Genesis 8:21) ESV

The intention, also translated imagination, of man’s heart is to devise all kinds of wickedness and evil. It’s a picture of the separation of heaven and hell manifested in our mind and heart. It’s the pattern of creation.

The Imaginations of Their Evil Heart

Yet they obeyed not, nor inclined their ear, but walked every one in the imagination of their evil heart: therefore I will bring upon them all the words of this covenant, which I commanded them to do; but they did them not.

(Jeremiah 11:8) KJV

Popular science (SciPop) is an inductive rationalization of the premise that the universe has no divine or supernatural cause. It’s an outgrowth of our corrupt nature and embodies our desire to be free from the judgement of God.

Riding upon Heaven

There is none like unto the God of Jeshurun, who rideth upon the heaven in thy help, and in his excellency on the sky.

(Deuteronomy 33:26) KJV

It may seem sacrilegious to suggest that God rides on a cosmic surfboard, but it’s a conclusion which has been deduced. God and his agents may physically visit the Earth by riding on a piece of heaven.

Brightness Before Him and Darkness Under His Feet

He bowed the heavens also, and came down: and darkness was under his feet. And he rode upon a cherub, and did fly: yea, he did fly upon the wings of the wind. He made darkness his secret place; his pavilion round about him were dark waters and thick clouds of the skies. At the brightness that was before him his thick clouds passed, hail stones and coals of fire.

(Psalms 18:9-12) KJV

He bowed the heavens also, and came down With darkness under His feet. He rode upon a cherub, and flew; And He was seen upon the wings of the wind. He made darkness canopies around Him, Dark waters and thick clouds of the skies. From the brightness before Him Coals of fire were kindled.

(2 Samuel 22:10-13) NKJV

If heaven, the firmament, is a sphere of rigid crystal then we can resolve several passages of scripture which describe heaven, or pieces of heaven, as literally rigid crystalline structures.

Gehenna

And if thy hand offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter into life maimed, than having two hands to go into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched: Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.

(Mark 9:43-44) KJV

Jesus tells us that the punishment for sin is burning in hell, a fire like in Hinnom (gehenna). However, hell hasn’t been replaced by burning trash in Hinnom. Hell is expanding, it’s the cause of global warming.

The Lehmann Discontinuity

saying, “I called out to the LORD, out of my distress, and he answered me; out of the belly of Sheol I cried, and you heard my voice.

(Jonah 2:2) ESV

Sheol, it turns out, is a lot of things. There’s a midst of sheol, a belly of sheol and a lowest sheol. The Hebrew word is modified in logical groupings that correspond to the regions of the interior of the Earth.

The Midst of Hell

The strong among the mighty shall speak to him out of the midst of hell with them that help him: they are gone down, they lie uncircumcised, slain by the sword.

(Ezekiel 32:21) KJV

It’s universally believed today that hell, translated from either the Hebrew sheol or Greek hades is mythological, after all, there’s no world below where souls go when their bodies die, right? Is there?

He also First Descended

(Now this, “He ascended”—what does it mean but that He also first descended into the lower parts of the earth? He who descended is also the One who ascended far above all the heavens, that He might fill all things.)

(Ephesians 4:9-10) NKJV

Who descended and what are the lower parts of the Earth? Fortunately this isn’t a mystery and we’ve already done the work needed to resolve both issues.

God Encompasses Physics

The God who made the world and everything in it, being Lord of heaven and earth, does not live in temples made by man, nor is he served by human hands, as though he needed anything, since he himself gives to all mankind life and breath and everything. And he made from one man every nation of mankind to live on all the face of the earth, having determined allotted periods and the boundaries of their dwelling place, that they should seek God, and perhaps feel their way toward him and find him. Yet he is actually not far from each one of us, for

“‘In him we live and move and have our being’; as even some of your own poets have said, “‘For we are indeed his offspring.’e

(Acts 17:24-28) ESV

When confronted with an accusation on Twitter our impulse (that’s me and the Holy Spirit, except, usually grieving the Holy Spirit) is to be snarky about the poster’s cognitive dissonance (a way to call them stupid).
