Scorpions and Millipedes, first Air-breathing Animals

Repay them, O Lord, According to the work of their hands. Give them a veiled heart; Your curse be upon them! In Your anger, Pursue and destroy them From under the heavens of the Lord.

(Lamentations 3:64-66) NKJV

By a totally staggering coincidence, the first air-breathing animals to appear in the stratigraphic column just happened to be living on the beach or at the coast during Noah’s flood.

Mild Climates

And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.

(Matthew 7:25) KJV

Descriptions of geological periods usually start with a statement on climate. It’s a subtle way to pay homage to the fact that a vast amount of water moved a vast amount of sediment.

Graptiloids, Nautiloids, Cystoids in Maximum Abundance

So God created great sea creatures and every living thing that moves, with which the waters abounded, according to their kind, and every winged bird according to its kind. And God saw that it was good. And God blessed them, saying, “Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let birds multiply on the earth.”

(Genesis 1:21-22) NKJV

First Vertebrates and a Great Variety of Marine Invertebrates

Then God said, “Let the waters abound with an abundance of living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth across the face of the firmament of the heavens.”

(Genesis 1:20 NKJV

In Noah’s flood the sea floor was buried first, that’s called the Cambrian. The things which were swimming just above the sea floor got buried next, that’s called the Ordovician.

Warm, Mild Climates

Now the flood was on the earth forty days. The waters increased and lifted up the ark, and it rose high above the earth.

(Genesis 7:17) NKJV

Erosion and deposition of sediment happens as the result of precipitation and flooding. “Warm, mild climates” is a way of implying that warm temperatures caused increased evaporation from the oceans.

The Narrative of the Decay Constant

Diagram of the Earth on the second day as gravity caused the earth to form as layers of concentric sediment

Therefore, just as through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men, because all sinned –

(Romans 5:12) NKJV

The peer review narrative for Earth begins with the desire that the Bible is wrong and hell isn’t at the center. One way to do this is to have a timescale which is completely different to the one in the Bible.
