The LGBTQIA+ Identity Crisis

June 29

Her priests have violated My law and profaned My holy things; they have not distinguished between the holy and unholy, nor have they made known the difference between the unclean and the clean; and they have hidden their eyes from My Sabbaths, so that I am profaned among them.

(Ezekiel 22:26) NKJV

In the Bible, particularly the New Testament, the states of being alive or dead aren’t applied to our physical body, they’re used to refer to the state of our soul.

Sanctification and Honor

For this is the will of God, your sanctification: that you should abstain from sexual immorality; that each of you should know how to possess his own vessel in sanctification and honor, not in passion of lust, like the Gentiles who do not know God; that no one should take advantage of and defraud his brother in this matter, because the Lord is the avenger of all such, as we also forewarned you and testified.

(1 Thessalonians 4:3-6) NKJV

If you’re struggling with gender identity try not to worry or fret about it. It’s okay to feel what you’re feeling. It’s okay to process the thoughts that you’re having. Here’s the best advise that I, me, myself, personally, can give you:

Possess your vessel in sanctification and honor.

Obey the Law

Therefore submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord’s sake, whether to the king as supreme, or to governors, as to those who are sent by him for the punishment of evildoers and for the praise of those who do good.

(1 Peter 2:13-14) NKJV

A lot of people think that the LGBTQIA+ issue is about making a moral judgement. The thing is, we’re not asked to make a moral judgement, we’re told to obey the law for the Lord’s sake.

Holy Matrimony

And He answered and said to them,“Have you not read that He who made them at the beginning ‘made them male and female,’ and said, ‘For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh’?

(Matthew 19:4-5) NKJV

Physical relationships between humans are, by their very nature, carnal. There’s only one situation in which the sexual union of two people is sanctified: holy matrimony.

The Sesame Street Song

And do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord, giving thanks always for all things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, submitting to one another in the fear of God.

(Ephesians 5:18-21) NKJV

Gender identity is a thing. It’s something which, probably, a large portion of society has wrestled with at some point in their life, or it may be ongoing. How should we handle it on a personal level? What is it to me? What do I need to understand about it?

Holy and Unholy, Unclean and Clean

“Do not drink wine or intoxicating drink, you, nor your sons with you, when you go into the tabernacle of meeting, lest you die. It shall be a statute forever throughout your generations, that you may distinguish between holy and unholy, and between unclean and clean, and that you may teach the children of Israel all the statutes which the Lord has spoken to them by the hand of Moses.”

(Leviticus 10:9-11) NKJV

Once we’ve become a Christian, how are we to live? This is a question which Paul was asked, to which a lot of the content of his letters and those of the other New Testament writers is addressed.

The LGBTQIA+ Identity Crisis

Her priests have violated My law and profaned My holy things; they have not distinguished between the holy and unholy, nor have they made known the difference between the unclean and the clean; and they have hidden their eyes from My Sabbaths, so that I am profaned among them.

(Ezekiel 22:26) NKJV

We can use our theory of gravity to make sense of the LGBTQIA+ identity fiasco by using an old Sesame Street song about differences to determine which identities are alive and which are dead.
