All Life is One

Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water.

(John 4:10) KJV

Our life could be summarized through how we (that’s me and the Holy spirit) acquired our favorite books. Some of you can relate. Miracles happened to bring certain books into our possession.

The Logical Fallacy of Scientific Truths

O Timothy, guard the deposit entrusted to you. Avoid the irreverent babble and contradictions of what is falsely called “knowledge,”

(1 Timothy 6:20) ESV

Science is a branch of knowledge or study dealing with a body of facts or truths systematically arranged and showing the operation of general laws: the mathematical sciences, systematic knowledge of the physical or material world gained through observation and experimentation, any of the branches of natural or physical science.

– Science, definition (Dictionary.com)

The phrase scientific truths is plural, meaning more than one. Truth is absolute, meaning there’s only one. In popular science (SciPop) truths are subjective which means that they can be whatever SciPop wants or needs.

Life is Derived From Water

Now in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went to them, walking on the sea. And when the disciples saw Him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, “It is a ghost!” And they cried out for fear.

(Matthew 14:25-26) NKJV

Pastors and preachers talk about how Peter started walking on water but when he took his eyes off Jesus he began to sink. We (that’s me and the Holy spirit) want to make this passage about Jesus, not Peter.

Blueprint for a Garden

Then the LORD God took the man and put him in the garden of Eden to work it and keep it. And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, “You may surely eat of every tree of the garden, but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die.”

(Genesis 2:15-17) ESV

During the time that we (that’s me and the Holy spirit) were at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill we were the teaching assistant for Biology 43, Local Flora, for two spring semesters.

Think on These Things

Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. What you have learned and received and heard and seen in me—practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you.

(Philippians 4:8-9) ESV

By the grace of God we’re intellectually and physically free. We get to think about whatever we want and decide how we spend our time. There are few constraints but we should be mindful not to squander our freedom.

Water

Lift up your staff, and stretch out your hand over the sea and divide it, that the people of Israel may go through the sea on dry ground.

(Exodus 14:16) ESV

If you’ve ever studied biology, biochemistry or chemistry you may have noticed that practically all introductory textbooks in those subjects have a chapter on water at or near the beginning. It’s obligatory.

Then they said to one another, “Look, this dreamer is coming! Come therefore, let us now kill him and cast him into some pit; and we shall say, ‘Some wild beast has devoured him.’ We shall see what will become of his dreams!”

(Genesis 37:19-20) NKJV

We (that’s me and the Holy spirit) replied to a question “how do you cope with writer’s block?” We don’t have writer’s block, we write everyday. It’s a simple solution.
