Deducing Gravity

And David put his hand in his bag, and took thence a stone, and slang it, and smote the Philistine in his forehead, that the stone sunk into his forehead; and he fell upon his face to the earth.

Gravity is fundamental to the working out of God’s plan for creation. So how on Earth did we manage to deduce that gravity was created on the second day? There are three parts to this logic:

February 7th

David and Goliath

When the Philistine arose and came and drew near to meet David, David ran quickly toward the battle line to meet the Philistine. And David put his hand in his bag and took out a stone and slung it and struck the Philistine on his forehead. The stone sank into his forehead, and he fell on his face to the ground.

(1 Samuel 17:48-49) ESV

We (that’s me and the Holy spirit) deduced that God created gravity on the second day. The implications are profound. David and Goliath is a fitting metaphor: We just killed theoretical Physics. You’re welcome.
