Galileo and the Mind Pirates

There are also celestial bodies, and bodies terrestrial: but the glory of the celestial is one, and the glory of the terrestrial is another. There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars: for one star differeth from another star in glory.

(1 Corinthians 15:40-41) KJV

This post is part of the WHY? devotional for April.

Astronomy has grown around this assumption: stars are suns. It’s false. Galileo, Kepler, Newton, Einstein, and others stole the modern mind and gave us an understanding of the cosmos which isn’t real.

And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also.

  • IF God cannot lie,
    • THEN the Bible is true,
  • THEREFORE if the Bible says that the stars will fall to the earth,
    • BUT SciPop says that this is impossible,

David and Goliath

Matty’s Law of Biblical Gravitation

And it came to pass, when the Philistine arose, and came and drew nigh to meet David, that David hasted, and ran toward the army to meet the Philistine. Newton’s Third Law of Motion

To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:
A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;
A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;
A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;
A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;
A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away;
A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;
A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.

( Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 ) KJV
