Saved by Faith not Works

For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.

(Ephesians 2:8-10) NKJV

Some people take the tree of life in Eden to mean that Adam’s first body was intended to die, and that the tree of life would be made available to him at some point as a reward for good behavior.

The Living Bread

Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me has everlasting life. I am the bread of life. Your fathers ate the manna in the wilderness, and are dead. This is the bread which comes down from heaven, that one may eat of it and not die. I am the living bread which came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever; and the bread that I shall give is My flesh, which I shall give for the life of the world.”

(John 6:47-51) KJV

Jesus describes the chain of causality in the transition of energy from one form to another. If we believe (B) in Jesus Christ (q) we’ll be given everlasting life because we are, energetically, eating the bread of life (Fq) which is believing in Jesus.

The Mind of the Spirit

Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God.

(Romans 8:26-27) NKJV

Let’s look at the context of the passage. Likewise the Spirit. Spirit is capitalized which means it’s specifically referring to the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is the comforter which helps us in our weakness.

The Heart and Mind of the Soul

For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Because the carnal mind is enmity against God; for it is not subject to the law of God, nor indeed can be. So then, those who are in the flesh cannot please God.

(Romans 8:6-8) NKJV

We deduced that the soul is physically gravity, but functionally it’s the mind and heart. As such, souls, including God the father, have a mind and a heart. The separation of mind and heart is a pattern in creation.

Spirits and Gravity

For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit.

(Romans 8:5) NKJV

We previously developed the rationale that spiritual messengers, referred to sometimes as angels, are a combination of spirit (vapor) and soul (gravity). This was described in the post Holograms, Relativity and the Soul.

Walking in Imagination

Yet they obeyed not, nor inclined their ear, but walked every one in the imagination of their evil heart: therefore I will bring upon them all the words of this covenant, which I commanded them to do; but they did them not.

(Jeremiah 11:8) KJV

Popular culture wants you to believe that truth is relative and that we all have our own. If you can imagine it, you can believe it. If you believe it, then it’s true for you. This perfectly summarizes the state of popular science (SciPop) today as seen in the way that the Hawking Effect has been used to modify the scientific method.

Their Thoughts Were Evil

Noah built an altar to the Lord; he took one of each kind of ritually clean animal and bird, and burned them whole as a sacrifice on the altar. The odor of the sacrifice pleased the Lord, and he said to himself, “Never again will I put the earth under a curse because of what people do; I know that from the time they are young their thoughts are evil. Never again will I destroy all living beings, as I have done this time. As long as the world exists, there will be a time for planting and a time for harvest. There will always be cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night.”

(Genesis 8:20-22) Good News Translation

And the LORD smelled a soothing aroma. Then the LORD said in His heart, “I will never again curse the ground for man’s sake, although the imagination of man’s heart is evil from his youth; nor will I again destroy every living thing as I have done.

(Genesis 8:21) NKJV

The universe was created as a way to purify all of the corruption out of the world, and this is being brought about through the action of gravity. No one wants you to know this. Why?

Prepare Your Heart

I, the Lord, search the heart, I test the mind, Even to give every man according to his ways, According to the fruit of his doings.

(Jeremiah 17:10) NKJV

Preparing our hearts doesn’t involve special diets or exercise, it comes down to taking two simple steps: believing in Jesus Christ, and confessing our sins. The sanctification we receive from faith in Jesus makes us a holy vessel in which the Holy Spirit takes up residence. We’re indwelt by the Spirit of God.

Out of the Heart

For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies.

(Matthew 15:19) NKJV

Jesus was asked why he didn’t stop his disciples from eating before they had washed their hands. He was very direct in pointing out that we’re not defiled by what we put into our mouths, even if our hands are dirty. We’re defiled by what comes out of our mouths, and that starts in the corruption of our heart.
