The First Law of Thermodynamics

By faith we understand that the universe was created by the word of God, so that what is seen was not made out of things that are visible.


(Hebrews 11:3) ESV

The earth was without form and void, and darkness was over the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters.

(Genesis 1:2) ESV

Genesis 1:2 gives us the conditions predicted to be necessary by scientific models of the beginning of the universe. A such, the first law of thermodynamics isn’t broken in the Biblical account of creation.

December 18th

A Pure River of Water of Life

Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life, bright as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb through the middle of the street of the city; also, on either side of the river, the tree of life with its twelve kinds of fruit, yielding its fruit each month. The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.

(Revelation 22:1-2) ESV

We live in a universe governed by physical laws. One of them is the first law of thermodynamics which says that energy can’t be created or destroyed, just transformed from one form to another.
