Imagine Imaging Woe
The second woe is past; and, behold, the third woe cometh quickly.
(Revelation 11:14) KJV
We have to take the image which we developed to resolve the issue of the “four corners of the earth” and imagine what it may look like after six of the seven trumpets have been blown and vials of wrath poured out.
Yesterday we made reference to the prophecy of Ezekiel. This has particular significance to any model we propose for the condition of the earth at the time of the Millennial Kingdom.
We also created an image of what the Earth may look like after six of the seven trumpets have been blown, and bowls of wrath have been poured out, which wasn’t contextually accurate. We’re using the process of deduction to understand the intimate and accurate way in which the Bible describes our physical world. We’ve found that we can take the Bible as literally true and show how the use of an ancient word just happens to correspond to a physical phenomenon, like the Greek word Proton actually referring to a Hydrogen nuclei.
We also have to consider what happens next, and adapt the model to be able to accommodate that too. In order to do this we must summarize and review the physical phenomenon which have been described for the first 6 trumpets/vials.
7 Trumpets/Vials Summary
| Trumpet/Vial | Physical Phenomena |
| The First Woe | |
| 1 | [Trumpet] .. hail and fire mingled with blood .. .. the third part of trees was burnt up, and all green grass was burnt up. [Vial] .. a noisome and grievous sore upon the men which had the mark of the beast. |
| 2 | [Trumpet] .. a great mountain burning with fire was cast into the sea: and the third part of the sea became blood .. .. the third part of the creatures which were in the sea, and had life, died; and the third part of the ships were destroyed. [Vial] .. the sea .. became as the blood of a dead man and every living soul died in the sea. |
| 3 | [Trumpet] .. there fell a great star from heaven .. .. and it fell upon the third part of the rivers, and upon the fountains of waters .. .. And the name of the star is called Wormwood .. [Vial] .. the rivers and fountains of waters; and they became blood. |
| 4 | [Trumpet] .. the third part of the sun was smitten, and the third part of the moon, and the third part of the stars, .. so the third part of them was darkened .. [Vial] .. poured out his vial upon the sun; and power was given unto him to scorch men with fire. |
| 5 | [Trumpet] .. I saw a star fall from heaven unto the earth: and to him was given the key of the bottomless pit .. And he opened the bottomless pit; and there arose a smoke out of the pit .. And there came out of the smoke locusts upon the earth .. And in those days shall men seek death, and shall not find it; and shall desire to die, and death shall flee from them. And they had a king over them, which is the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name in the Hebrew tongue is Abaddon, but in the Greek tongue hath his name Apollyon. [Vial] .. the fifth angel poured out his vial upon the seat of the beast .. .. and they gnawed their tongues for pain .. |
| The Second Woe | |
| 6 | [Trumpet] Loose the four angels which are bound in the great river Euphrates. .. to slay the third part of men. .. the number of the army of the horsemen were two hundred thousand thousand .. By these three was the third part of men killed .. [Vial] .. the sixth angel poured out his vial upon the great river Euphrates .. .. that the way of the kings of the east might be prepared. And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon. |
| The Third Woe | |
| The Final Trumpet / Christ Returns / Rapture of the Church | |
| 7 Final | [Trumpet] .. and there were lightnings, and voices, and thunderings, and an earthquake, and great hail. [Vial] And there were voices, and thunders, and lightnings; and there was a great earthquake, such as was not since men were upon the earth, so mighty an earthquake, and so great. And every island fled away, and the mountains were not found. And there fell upon men a great hail out of heaven, every stone about the weight of a talent .. |
This is a lot to take in but here’s the short version of what has happened after 6 of the 7 trumpet/vials. Incidentally, [6 / 7] is 0.86.
Tribulation 0.86 The First Six Trumpets
- The surface of the earth is devastated by burning hail,
- humans and livestock are affected by burning sores in the skin,
- the continents move together to form a contiguous landmass.
- The first of three extraterrestrial impacts pollutes the sea,
- everything in the oceans dies.
- A second extraterrestrial impact poisons all fresh water,
- the rivers, streams and lakes turn to blood.
- The sun emits solar flares and burns off most of its remaining fuel,
- it briefly flares 7 times brighter then weakens to a dim glow.
- A third extraterrestrial impact ruptures the crust and mantle all around the periphery of the super-continent which has formed,
- a swarm of horse-sized armor-plated locusts with scorpion tails come out of the depths of the earth,
- smoke bellows out from the crack in the earth and darkens the sky,
- the scorpions torment the people for 5 months.
- All the armies of the earth assemble for the battle of Armageddon.
We don’t have a timeline for this sequence of events other than that drawn from Daniel which, most people believe, puts the duration of the tribulation at 7 years. In this prophecy the beast arises with his 666 number of the beast and at the mid-point, 3.5 years, and the world enters what’s called great tribulation. We can tentatively suggest that great tribulation is when the blowing of trumpets and the pouring out of bowls of wrath starts, so the sequence of events summarized above may take 3.5 years.
At the end of the tribulation the Lord returns which is the final trumpet.
