Darkness

For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

(2 Corinthians 4:6) ESV

We’re discussing the very beginning of creation, Genesis 1:1-2, and we have an intriguing question: if God is light, in whom is no darkness at all, then why was there darkness upon the face of the deep?

This is the message we have heard from him and proclaim to you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.

(1 John 1:5) ESV

Why would God go against his own nature in order to create the universe? Well, that’s the whole point, isn’t it? That’s the basis for the plan of redemption, the sinless had to become sin.

We all have the same evidence. Our choice of paradigm determines what we think it’s evidence of.

Matty’s Razor

For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

(2 Corinthians 5:21) KJV

And with that question we open the door to the discussion of free will. We have a situation whereby God has become what He’s not. Light has become darkness. By drawing the parallel between the Holy Trinity and particle physics we can resolve this and show how it’s consistent with the broad narrative of scripture.

We refer to our process as systematic deduction, and so in order to be systematic there are two places in the creation narrative where darkness has to be accounted for:

  1. The darkness that was over the face of the deep,
  2. the darkness at the end of the first day (night).

Faith is believing in something that you can’t see, because of evidence.

– Faith, definition

The first darkness is before creation began. It’s a darkness caused by the absence of light. The second darkness is caused by the obstruction of light. The light is still there but it’s been or is being obscured somehow. This is why it was given a different name: night.

Buckle your seat belts because we not only resolve the Holy Trinity with particle Physics, we’re deriving the Physics of redemption and salvation through faith in Jesus Christ. We can answer the question: Why is Jesus the name above all names?
