Blessed are the pure in heart, For they shall see God.
(Matthew 5:8) NKJV
God will be seen by those who have a pure heart. So how do we make our heart pure? By seeking God. It’s another example of how understanding the correct relationship between cause and effect is rather important.
The first step in this process of purification is salvation through faith in Jesus Christ.
Salvation
- Call upon the name of Jesus Christ,
- believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead,
- confess your sin.
Truly God is good to Israel, To such as are pure in heart.
(Psalms 73:1) NKJV
When we get saved we’re indwelt by the Holy Spirit, and that cleanses us of whatever other spiritual problems we may have been facing. That’s when we’re ready to stand before the Lord because we’re in Christ Jesus.
Who may ascend into the hill of the Lord? Or who may stand in His holy place? He who has clean hands and a pure heart, Who has not lifted up his soul to an idol, Nor sworn deceitfully.
(Psalms 24:3-4) KJV

Heart and soul make us unique, they drive and motivate us. Hopefully we’re motivated to seek the Lord, that’s really what were here for.
