Bending the Truth

They have envisioned futility and false divination, saying, ‘Thus says the LORD!’ But the LORD has not sent them; yet they hope that the word may be confirmed.

(Ezekiel 13:6) NKJV

If P-waves (sound waves) travel in straight lines then why are the lines depicting their paths through the interior of the Earth curved in the popular science interpretation of data from seismic waves (SciPop)?

Is it because space is curved? No. It’s much simpler than that. SciPop is a rationalization of the premise that there’s no God. Therefore the SciPop interpretation of the internal structure of the Earth is a rationalization of the premise that there’s no hell.

P-waves are sound waves and they propagate at a speed which is relative to the density of the material that they’re propagating through. The denser the material, the faster the waves propagate. The problem is that the measured travel time of P-waves doesn’t match the predictions that we get from the SciPop model. There are 3 parts to the answer of why the SciPop model depends on inductive, reductive circular reasoning.

Empirical vs. Theoretical

Should the lines be curved or straight? There are 3 issues to consider.

  1. Density
  2. Average density
  3. Gravitational time dilation

Density

There’s a great gulf of open space inside the Earth which, compared to solid rock like granite, or liquid magma, has very low density and the P-waves take more time to reach the detectors than anticipated.

Average Density

The average density of the Earth is derived from its mass which is in turn derived from a false theory of gravity. The gravitational constant, G, is a measure of the attractive force between bodies, but it’s not a property of the bodies themselves. It’s a measure of the strength of the gravitational field which is emitted from the center of the Earth. As such, it’s not possible to calculate values for Earth’s mass and average density. The values which are in use are placeholders on a scale of relative, not absolute values.

Gravitational Time Dilation (GTD)

Gravitational time dilation (GTD) affects the passage of time. The closer you get to the center of the Earth, the slower time passes. This introduces an unknown variable into the equation which is why we have to draw straight lines on our diagram.

Inductive, Reductive Circular Reasoning

SciPop has to bend the lines in its seismology diagram to account for the extra time it takes for seismic waves to propagate compared to what’s predicted by it’s theoretical model. The idea is to massage the observations to fit the narrative of a solid inner core, liquid outer core and a viscous mantle. It’s an example of inductive reasoning. The SciPop model of the interior of the Earth is also the product of peer review. Do you think you can trust peer review when its sole function is to maintain the internal logical consistency of the SciPop narrative of godless existence?
