But Abraham said, ‘Son, remember that in your lifetime you received your good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things; but now he is comforted and you are tormented. And besides all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed, so that those who want to pass from here to you cannot, nor can those from there pass to us.’
(Luke 16:25-26) NKJV
After Noah’s flood the region in the interior of the Earth, formerly occupied by the great deep (tehom), is now a great gulf or mega chasm of open space that Jesus spoke of in Luke 16:26 (sheol).
We’re at the end of our discussion of the Antediluvian world and Noah’s flood. The flood was one of the major events of history of which it can clearly be seen that the before was significantly different to the after.
Even by the God of thy father, who shall help thee; and by the Almighty, who shall bless thee with blessings of heaven above, blessings of the deep that lieth under, blessings of the breasts, and of the womb:
(Genesis 49:25) KJV
This is true on the surface of the Earth but also in the interior. We developed a 3D model of the Earth which changes over time. It transitions from having the waters of the great deep in an internal region equivalent to the outer core, to the water being driven off by heat from the expansion of hell. After the flood the region is open space, the only water on Earth is on it’s surface.
Thus hath the Lord GOD shewed unto me: and, behold, the Lord GOD called to contend by fire, and it devoured the great deep, and did eat up a part.
(Amos 7:4) KJV
