Truth and Error

We are from God. Whoever knows God listens to us; whoever is not from God does not listen to us. By this we know the Spirit of truth and the spirit of error.
(1 John 4:6) ESV

Here’s an example of how the popular science narrative of godless existence (SciPop) combines truth and error: real observations are blended with speculation about unknown causes.

God is a Spirit

God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth.
(John 4:24) ESV

God is a spirit doesn’t mean that God is mystical and undefined, it means His physical nature is that of a vapor. However, God is more than just a Spirit so it’s accurate to say that God has a Spirit.

Ex nihilo #EpicFail

By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible.
(Hebrews 11:3) NKJV

We (that’s me and the Holy spirit), deal with the ridiculous notion that God created the universe from nothing. The doctrine of Ex nihilo is neither Biblical nor is it physically possible.

Entropy and Thermodynamics

If entropy is why the world decays into rubble then how are DNA replication and the process of evolution exempt? They aren’t, but that’s the premise of the popular science narrative of godless existence (SciPop).

Visible and Invisible

For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through him and for him.

We (that’s me and the Holy spirit) use systematic deduction allowing the Bible to reveal how it interacts with our environment. As such, we need to clarify the usage of two words, spiritual and physical.

The First Law of Thermodynamics

By faith we understand that the universe was created by the word of God, so that what is seen was not made out of things that are visible.

(Hebrews 11:3) ESV

The earth was without form and void, and darkness was over the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters.
(Genesis 1:2) ESV

Genesis 1:2 gives us the conditions predicted to be necessary by scientific models of the beginning of the universe. A such, the first law of thermodynamics isn’t broken in the Biblical account of creation.
