We’ve introduced gravity as the mechanism by which the creation will be purified and how light will be separated from darkness. Gravity was created on the second day. Matter, space and time existed before that.

The purpose of creation is to separate good from evil. A reasonable question is: Why were they mingled together in the first place? If God is good, then the evil had to be created from good. The sinless became sin.

Answering secular humanists who insist that a good God and hell can’t coexist isn’t impossible, but it’s going to take some work. That’s why the gospel is so simple:

TO THE UNKNOWN GOD.

It’s one thing to talk about God with Christians, they know God from the Bible. It’s something else to talk with people who don’t go to church and whose knowledge of God comes from atheist propaganda.

In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was without form and void, and darkness was over the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters.

A word frequently translated God is the Hebrew elohim. What’s interesting is that the word is plural, denoting more than one. It’s not a problem because we can resolve it with God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

You may be uncomfortable with the idea that God uses a section of the firmament as a movable platform like a giant cosmic surfboard. We get it, this is a deep end and we went off it. It’s what we do.

And in His excellency on the clouds.
The idea that God or his agents may physically visit the Earth by riding on a piece of heaven may seem ridiculous. However it appears that a section of firmament is used like an elevator to travel between heaven and Earth.

The firmament was originally composed of many more layers than it is now. One layer in the midst transformed into something like obsidian, completely black, and melted causing the inner layers to separate.
