The Pangaea super-continent was broken into continental landmasses sometime after the tower of Babel. People and fauna were dispersed to all corners of Pangaea and then the tectonic plates formed.

Animals spread out from the site of Noah’s ark and people spread out from Babel. Then something caused tectonic plates to form, Pangaea broke apart, and the continents moved into their present locations.

It’s an accepted belief in popular science (SciPop) that, at some time in the past, all of the continents were part of one super-continent. This is known as Pangaea.
