Scholium

An old deisel train engine with the number 1687

Then said he unto them, Therefore every scribe which is instructed unto the kingdom of heaven is like unto a man that is an householder, which bringeth forth out of his treasure things new and old.

(Matthew 13:52) KJV

The scholium is 1. a marginal annotation or comment (as on the text of a classic by an early grammarian), 2. a remark or observation subjoined but not essential to a demonstration or a train of reasoning.

– Scholium, definition (Merriam-Webster)

Following on from the Axioms, Corollaries and Principles of Principia Mattymatica are a few loose ends. Like how this allows for the fulfillment of prophecy. Y’know, minor details…

Principles

High magnification of a water splash

A just weight and balance are the LORD’S: all the weights of the bag are his work.

(Proverbs 16:11) KJV

Principle (theorem): a fundamental truth or proposition that serves as the foundation for a system of belief or behavior or for a chain of reasoning.
Theorem in mathematics is the deduction of important result from axioms. The same thing in physics relevant to this is called principle.

– Principle, definition

Principles are the theoretical backbone of a paradigm. The internal logic of the paradigm will be consistent if it meets the requirements of the principles.

Corollaries

Just balances, just weights, a just ephah, and a just hin, shall ye have: I am the LORD your God, which brought you out of the land of Egypt.

(Leviticus 19:36) KJV

A corollary is a statement that follows readily from a previous statement.

– Corollary, definition

In Peirce’s theory of deductive reasoning he held that corollarial deduction matches Aristotle’s conception of direct demonstration, which Aristotle regarded as the only thoroughly satisfactory demonstration.

Axioms

Dolphin looks like it's smiling

For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions,

(2 Timothy 4:3) ESV

Axiom (law): a statement or proposition that is regarded as being 1) established, 2) accepted, or 3) self-evidently true. The law in physics is actually same as axiom in mathematics.

– Axiom (law), definition

The axioms of Principia Mattymatica are (1) established and (3) self-evidently true. They aren’t (2) accepted because they’re in deliberate defiance of peer review*.

Principia Mathematica

There is a man in your kingdom in whom is the Spirit of the Holy God. And in the days of your father, light and understanding and wisdom, like the wisdom of the gods, were found in him; and King Nebuchadnezzar your father—your father the king—made him chief of the magicians, astrologers, Chaldeans, and soothsayers.

(Daniel 5:11) NKJV

Some time ago while studying Newton’s Principia Mathematica it struck us that it would be funny and ironic to write a parody called Principia Mattymatica, the Mattymatical principles of natural theology.

I’m Not a Scientist…

O Timothy! Guard what was committed to your trust, avoiding the profane and idle babblings and contradictions of what is falsely called knowledge— by professing it some have strayed concerning the faith.

(1 Timothy 6:20-21) NKJV

I’m not a scientist…” is the response that we (that’s me and the Holy spirit) used to get whenever we tried to talk with a Pastor about science. It precedes an admission of ignorance.

Thou Shalt Keep Them

The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.

(Psalms 12:6-7) KJV

We began to search out Bible passages that would substantiate the link between God can’t lie and the Bible is true. Before we knew it we were reaching for our copy of Thou Shalt Keep Them.

The Format of Principia Mattymatica

Thy word is true from the beginning: and every one of thy righteous judgments endureth for ever.

(Psalms 119:160) KJV

We (that’s me and the Holy spirit) will formally destroy the theoretical foundation of popular science (SciPop). We used to get vehement opposition but for now the world is watching in stunned silence.
