Facultative Authority

Johnny Depp in Sweeny Todd

The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders, and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie, that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

(2 Thessalonians 2:9-12) NKJV

Facultative means: of or relating to the grant of permission, authority, or privilege. For us it describes a mode of argumentation where atheists take the perspective that the Bible is true.

Late Pliocene (Blancan)

A man behind a tree can't see all of the other trees.

Popular Science (SciPop) is designed to make it so that you can’t see the wood for the trees or a tree for the woods. It’s not a conspiracy, it’s part of God’s will that we call the strong delusion.

The Role of Heliocentricity

The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders, and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie, that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

(2 Thessalonians 2:9-12) NKJV

The only way for the sun to orbit Earth is if God created it that way, there’s no other explanation. In contrast, if Earth orbits the sun then God’s an optional extra in a narrative he didn’t cause.

Occam’s Delusion

Therefore, behold, I will proceed to do a marvellous work among this people, even a marvellous work and a wonder: for the wisdom of their wise men shall perish, and the understanding of their prudent men shall be hid.

(Isaiah 29:14) KJV

We’ve demonstrated that Occam’s razor is a philosophical train wreck by comparing the assumptions necessary in heliocentric vs. geocentrospheric cosmologies and through the improbability of the origin of species by evolution.

Firmament: רָקִ֖יעַ – raqia

And I looked, and there in the firmament that was above the head of the cherubim, there appeared something like a sapphire stone, having the appearance of the likeness of a throne.

(Ezekiel 10:1) NKJV

The Hebrew word translated firmament is raqia. Some people struggle to interpret the firmament, most don’t bother. A simple definition is expanse so most translations render the meaning as “the expanse of the sky.”

Predictive Prophecy

And great hailstones, about one hundred pounds each, fell from heaven on people; and they cursed God for the plague of the hail, because the plague was so severe.

(Revelation 16:21) ESV

People, even Christians, commonly claim is that the Bible isn’t scientific. One reason being that it doesn’t make any predictions which can be tested. We’ll show you that the Bible is predictive, testable and scientific.

Mainstream Science and the Strong Delusion

The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders, and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie, that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

(2 Thessalonians 2:9-12) NKJV

The truth about God is self-evident but we’ve all been given free will. Therefore there must be a plausible alternative to the truth for those who want it. It’s called the strong delusion or the power of error.

It’s Impossible to Find the Truth Using the Scientific Method

The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders, and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie, that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

(2 Thessalonians 2:9-12) NKJV

According to the rules of the scientific method, popular science (SciPop) and the truth are mutually exclusive. This is by design, it’s not an accident.
