Cooler and Drier Climates

My brothers have dealt deceitfully like a brook, Like the streams of the brooks that pass away, Which are dark because of the ice, And into which the snow vanishes. When it is warm, they cease to flow; When it is hot, they vanish from their place.

Equatorial Glaciation?

Then God remembered Noah, and every living thing, and all the animals that were with him in the ark. And God made a wind to pass over the earth, and the waters subsided.

(Genesis 8:1) NKJV

After Noah’s flood a wind caused the waters to evaporate. The cooling effect caused the formation of equatorial and polar ice. Temperate zones were in the mid-latitudes of the Northern and Southern Hemispheres.
