Once you enter the great gulf nothing can stop your fall into the core. The pit is everything below the mantle. If the sides of the pit is the lower mantle, then the pit includes the great gulf.

Extremity, extreme part, corner: כַּנְפ֥וֹת – kanaph

He directeth it under the whole heaven, and his lightning unto the ends of the earth.
(Job 37:3) KJV

Heads are round but a beard can have corners. If you think this passage means that the Earth is flat and square, you also have to make the case that human heads are square. Good luck with that.

Does this sound like a circumferential precipice at the edge of a flat earth? Or could it be the coast, as in, the beach?

Brachiopods

Thus saith the LORD of hosts, Behold, evil shall go forth from nation to nation, and a great whirlwind shall be raised up from the coasts of the earth.
(Jeremiah 25:32) KJV

Brachiopods aren’t an evolutionary dead-end which got wiped out in a mass extinction. Well, there was a mass extinction, but it didn’t wipe out the Brachiopods.

The first vascular plants that were buried in Noah’s flood are on top of the beach sand which is full of dead scorpions because they were growing in the dunes inland of the beach.

“Low lying continents with some epicontinental flooding” is how you describe a world-wide flood without saying the words “world-wide flood.”

The Silurian is where popular science (SciPop) has the origin of the first scorpions, supposedly evolved from a primitive branch of the arthropods. However Silurian scorpions are just as developed as the ones alive today.

The Farthest Parts of the Earth

Thus says the LORD of hosts: Behold, disaster is going forth from nation to nation, and a great tempest is stirring from the farthest parts of the earth!
(Jeremiah 25:32) ESV

Depending on what English translation you’re reading you may see this rendered as “the coasts of the earth,” “the sides of the earth” or “the ends of the earth.”

The Ends of the Earth

Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding.
(Isaiah 40:28) KJV

If the Earth has ends does that mean it has to be flat? No, because “end” is a translation of a word which means “extremity or furthest reaches of” in which case we’re talking about the beach.

The sons of Japheth were Gomer, Magog, Madai, Javan, Tubal, Meshech, and Tiras. The sons of Gomer were Ashkenaz, Riphath, and Togarmah. The sons of Javan were Elishah, Tarshish, Kittim, and Dodanim.

The time between Noah’s flood and Peleg’s tectonics was when the dispersal from Babel took place. From Babel small family groups spread out, figuratively speaking, to the ends of the Earth.
