The Wolf and the Lamb

The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them. And the cow and the bear shall feed; their young ones shall lie down together: and the lion shall eat straw like the ox. And the sucking child shall play on the hole of the asp, and the weaned child shall put his hand on the cockatrice’ den. They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain: for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea.

(Isaiah 11:6-9) KJV

How much do you love animals? Enough to become a Christian and pray for the return of Jesus Christ so that herbivores can finally be safe from their predators? Predators will become vegetarian.

Let the Earth be Moved

The LORD reigneth; let the people tremble: he sitteth between the cherubims; let the earth be moved. The LORD is great in Zion; and he is high above all the people. Let them praise thy great and terrible name; for it is holy. The king’s strength also loveth judgment; thou dost establish equity, thou executest judgment and righteousness in Jacob. Exalt ye the LORD our God, and worship at his footstool; for he is holy. Moses and Aaron among his priests, and Samuel among them that call upon his name; they called upon the LORD, and he answered them. He spake unto them in the cloudy pillar: they kept his testimonies, and the ordinance that he gave them. Thou answeredst them, O LORD our God: thou wast a God that forgavest them, though thou tookest vengeance of their inventions. Exalt the LORD our God, and worship at his holy hill; for the LORD our God is holy.

(Psalm 99:1-9) KJV

We started November and our study of the Millennial Kingdom in the book of Isaiah. All of the passages that we have looked at have come from either Isaiah and the prophets or the book of Revelation. However there is at least one older reference to the idea that the earth will be moved and shaken, and the Lord will rule from his Holy mountain high above the people, Psalm 99.

Every Mountain And Island Were Moved

And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood; And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind. And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places.

(Revelation 6:12-14) KJV

Every mountain and island were moved out of their places. Hmmm, sounds familiar…

A Mountain Filled the Whole Earth

Jagged mountain range

Thou sawest till that a stone was cut out without hands, which smote the image upon his feet that were of iron and clay, and brake them to pieces. Then was the iron, the clay, the brass, the silver, and the gold, broken to pieces together, and became like the chaff of the summer threshingfloors; and the wind carried them away, that no place was found for them: and the stone that smote the image became a great mountain, and filled the whole earth.

(Daniel 2:34-35) KJV

By adding Daniel to Isaiah and Zechariah we’re starting to build a deep bench of prophets who foresaw the changes that take place at the beginning of the Millennial Kingdom.

From Geba to Rimmon

The whole land shall be turned into a plain from Geba to Rimmon south of Jerusalem. But Jerusalem shall remain aloft on its site from the Gate of Benjamin to the place of the former gate, to the Corner Gate, and from the Tower of Hananel to the king’s winepresses. And it shall be inhabited, for there shall never again be a decree of utter destruction. Jerusalem shall dwell in security.

(Zechariah 14:10-11) ESV

The prophecy of the establishment of the Millennial Kingdom describes dramatic changes to the landscape. Zechariah chapter 14 is one of several that describe Jerusalem being lifted up.

The Third Day

And God said, “Let the waters under the heavens be gathered together into one place, and let the dry land appear.” And it was so. God called the dry land Earth, and the waters that were gathered together he called Seas. And God saw that it was good.

And God said, “Let the earth sprout vegetation, plants yielding seed, and fruit trees bearing fruit in which is their seed, each according to its kind, on the earth.” And it was so. The earth brought forth vegetation, plants yielding seed according to their own kinds, and trees bearing fruit in which is their seed, each according to its kind. And God saw that it was good. And there was evening and there was morning, the third day.

(Genesis 1:9-13) ESV

As we build Matty’s Paradigm we find amazing opportunities to account for a lot of scriptural oddities that are a problem for Creationism and Flat Earthers alike.
