Searched Out Beneath

Thus saith the LORD; If heaven above can be measured, and the foundations of the earth searched out beneath, I will also cast off all the seed of Israel for all that they have done, saith the LORD.

( Jeremiah 31:37 )

  • IF God will cast off the seed of Israel if the foundations of the earth may be searched out,
  • AND we know that God does not cast off the seed of Israel,
  • THEN the foundations of the earth may not be searched out.

The Ground, Adamah

Therefore the LORD God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from whence he was taken.

(Genesis 3:23) KJV

The Hebrews had a well developed idea of life after death. For them physical death, the grave, was a portal into a complex underworld realm. The grave is merely the beginning of what happens next.

The Ends of the Earth

God understandeth the way thereof, and he knoweth the place thereof. For he looketh to the ends of the earth, and seeth under the whole heaven; To make the weight for the winds; and he weigheth the waters by measure.

( Job 28:23-25 )

If you want to believe in flat earth no one is going to stop you. However nothing in the Bible, either in the meaning of words or the context of passages, requires you to believe that earth is flat and has an edge.

Two Trees

But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.

( Genesis 2:17 )

Evolution on the scale required in the popular science paradigm requires death. There was no death before sin, therefore the evolutionary basis of the Phylogenetic Tree of Life is impossible.

Ethiopia

And some fell among thorns; and the thorns sprung up, and choked them:

( Matthew 13:7 )

I went to BEZA International Church expecting a blessing.
My ears tingled as I strained to hear every word.
God was going to tell me what to do.
This is what I heard:

There is a book in you that only YOU can write!

God Planted A Garden

And the LORD God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed.

( Genesis 2:8 )

The probability that four habits evolved in 620 plant families is a number too big to display in Google Sheets. The probability that four habits were created with 620 flower types is not that big. Occam’s razor that.

There Went up a Mist

And every plant of the field before it was in the earth, and every herb of the field before it grew: for the LORD God had not caused it to rain upon the earth, and there was not a man to till the ground. But there went up a mist from the earth, and watered the whole face of the ground.

( Genesis 2:5-6 )

On the 3rd day there was no rain upon the earth and there was not a man to till the ground. On the 6th day there was a man in the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it, logically there was also rain.

The Whole Land

And a river went out of Eden to water the garden; and from thence it was parted, and became into four heads. The name of the first is Pison: that is it which compasseth the whole land of Havilah, where there is gold; And the gold of that land is good: there is bdellium and the onyx stone. And the name of the second river is Gihon: the same is it that compasseth the whole land of Ethiopia. And the name of the third river is Hiddekel: that is it which goeth toward the east of Assyria. And the fourth river is Euphrates.

( Genesis 2:10-14 )

Applying practical knowledge and simple logic to Genesis 2:10-14

  • IF a river from Eden watered the whole surface of the earth,
  • AND water flows downhill,
  • THEN Eden was the highest point on the surface of the earth.

Genesis 1 vs. Genesis 2

And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so. And God called the dry land Earth; and the gathering together of the waters called he Seas: and God saw that it was good. And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so. And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind: and God saw that it was good. And the evening and the morning were the third day.

( Genesis 1:9-13 )

Genesis 1 and 2 are not contradictory, they have different narrative style. People who think that they conflict are looking for an excuse to dismiss the truth, because they don’t want the truth.

The End from the Beginning

Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure:

( Isaiah 46:10 )

Science has rationalized that there is no hell and no great gulf of open space inside the earth, because science is trying to be your antidote for guilt, the fear of of judgment and eternal torment.
